A competent spy with a playful personality
A spy who works for Ostia. He always appears cheerful and frivolous, but hidden behind that exterior that plays dumb is a dutiful and reliable spy. He devotedly serves Marquess Ostia’s younger brother, Hector, and is trusted by him in turn. He lost his lover and co-worker Leila when the “Black Fang’s” Jaffar killed her.

Matthew carries an aloof air to him, and often teases his allies Hector and Oswin while having light hearted conversations with them. Matthew also helps shoulder burdens that Hector may secretly be holding.
That cheeky Matthew displays a more solemn side when talking to “Black Fang” members such as Jaffar and Legault. Due to losing Leila, Matthew naturally has a bad impression of the “Black Fang.” However, Matthew grows mixed feelings on the matter after talking to Jaffar and Legault.

性格は軽そうだが腕ききの密偵
オスティアに仕える密偵。いつも陽気なお調子者に見えるが、とぼけた顔の裏には任務を着実にこなす密偵としての顔が隠されている。特にオスティア侯弟ヘクトルに忠義をつくし、信頼されている。
同僚で恋仲だったレイラを、「黒い牙」のジャファルに殺され、失っている。

そんなちゃっかりしたマシューも、元「黒い牙」の構成員、ジャファルやラガルトに対しては寂しい顔を見せる。レイラを失ったマシューは、当然「黒い牙」に良い印象を持たない。しかし、ジャファルやラガルトの話はマシューの胸中を複雑にしていくのだった。
