Valkyria Chronicles - ”Succeeded Wish” Lyrics Translation

Today’s song is “Succeeded Wish” (受け継がれる想い Uketsugareru Omoi), by Megumi Toyoguchi –used as a theme and during the game Valkyria Chronicles .

It has an official translation/localized song (titled “A Love Passed On”), but it is slightly different in meaning. I will do a comparison post later on!

The game is one of my favorites, and not very many people have played it. The anime was not as good in my opinion.

Today’s translation is a Christmas themed AKB48 song. It is translated more literally rather than poetically for understanding, and some of the subjects remain vague. I hope it still manages to be readable! Merry Christmas for those who celebrate it.
