–As part of a new translation mini-series, I’ll be summarizing the child paralogues in Fire Emblem: Fates as I go through Linkmastr’s video gallery of them (as they would take quite a while to get myself)–
This is Paralogue 8, and focuses on Kisaragi. It is unlocked by S ranking Takumi. It is on the Hoshido and Touma paths only.
As usual, this is all done on my free time, and takes awhile. It can be a lot of work, but I do hope you enjoy! I am unemployed… so please consider donating if you like the work I do. : ) It certainly helps me keep going!
You can find data on the chapter itself here under “Paralogue 8” [P8] here.
Takumi finds it strange that Kisaragi is nowhere to be seen despite him coming all the way to the secluded regions. He remarks that when not at home, that Kisaragi is always found at this mountain. Sakura says there is something wrong at the base forest of the mountain, as Takumi is shocked to see the phantom soldiers here, wondering if they followed him. He worries for Kisaragi who should be nearby. Sakura worries about what will happen if they can’t find him soon, and Takumi tells everyone to move out and hurry to find him.
Elsewhere, Kisaragi is commenting on his great catches of the day, saying he caught a bunch. He says it looks difficult to carry but will try his best anyway. He then spots some figures, saying they don’t look human, so figures they may be some new sort of creature. He decides to try and get them. He takes aim, and fires an arrow, saying it is a direct hit and celebrating his own prodigal skill. He then realizes it is not a new species of animal at all, and calmly realizes that he is in a tight situation. He doesn’t seem worried however, saying he will be fine with the bow his father gave him. Takumi and Sakura spot Kisaragi fighting on his own, and move to intervene. The battle begins.
During the battle, Takumi meets with Kisaragi and says he’s here to help and glad to see him safe, and Kisaragi is happy to see his father. Takumi assumes Kisaragi must have been scared, but Kisaragi says he was not afraid at all, knowing his father would come. He then tries to show Takumi his impressive catch. Takumi compliments him for his ability, but says this sort of thing is best left to talk about after the battle.
After the battle, Kisaragi is shocked and asks Takumi if he always fights like that. Takumi apologizes if he fought in a way that seemed scary to Kisaragi, but Kisaragi is instead deeply impressed, calling his father amazing. Takumi is surprised he does so, as Kisaragi goes on singing praises for his father. Takumi is humbled, and Kisaragi says he wants to be able to fight that way, and learn many things about the world that he doesn’t know, and wishes to travel with Takumi. Takumi is unsure about whether or not to allow Kisragi to come along, but Sakura says she has no objections, as Kisaragi himself is pretty strong. Kisaragi appreciates it and becomes insistent that he go with Takumi now. Takumi finally accepts, knowing that Kisaragi wants to learn many things and is just itching to fight. Kisragi is extremely happy and thankful, saying he will do his best. He then wants to show Takumi his catch from his hunt, and they go off to see it.
