The latest of my daily scan/clean/translation of Fire Emblem if (Fates): 4Koma Kings (ファイアーエムブレムif 4コマKINGS).
This is an individual post for Page 27. The compilation post that features all pages thus far is here! This is the last of the colored pages.
I do not post the raw scans here, but you may email if you want them to compare translations! I do at least one page per day.
All scanning, editing, translating, and uploading is done on my free time and is rather time consuming. It is certainly a lot of work… so please consider donating if you like the work I do. Any amount (no matter how small) is much appreciated and helps me keep going on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy the end results of my work!
Thanks for all your work translating stuff! But, I was wondering, why did you not put Mozume’s strong accent in? Is it hard to translate? Was it not in the original comic strip? Anyways, I appreciate all your translation work!
You’re welcome!
I was wondering on the accent. On one hand, it doesn’t really stick out in the official localization, huh? (Compared to say, Donnel from the last game). Not from what I saw, anyway…looking through supports and such. They seem to make it more about her word choice rather than way of speaking.
The original though does have funkier speak, but there wasn’t much to work with as she doesn’t speak much (in this comic), so I decided to go with the more neutral/localized tone. I do want to give her the accent in future 4koma where she talks more though, seeing as people may prefer it that way : )
Thanks for the comment!
Ah, is that so? Even in her My Room chatter? To be honest, I haven’t played much of the localization as I own the JP versions, so I only know what I read on the internet and what my friends who have the NOA version tell me. It would make sense, then, that you would try to match it up with the official localization! Keep up the great work as always!
I’ve never invited her to MyRoom…so may have to check on that! But from dialogue, she lacks the obvious accent as far as I recall and have seen.
No worries if you only have the JP version : ) I have both for comparison sake, so glad I can help clarify any differences in an informed way.
Thanks! I’m trying to find the fine line. After all, I don’t want to change authorial intent, so I like to prioritize the Japanese one when I can. So far, I’ve been getting literal meanings across but written in a way that hopefully flows and makes it readable enough for people not to notice too many issues. xD But that does make it hard for some jokes… so I spend a lot of time trying to get it right (like if you see the most recent page 29…)
