This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).
This post is of page 130-131, which features concept artwork of Ike with some commentary. The commentary is translated both on the page and here on this post.
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Full body artworks of Ike. You can get a glimpse of what is normally hidden behind Ike’s cape here. His back, the reverse side of his breastplate, and a small sack attached to his waist are some of the fine details that go unseen. Some busts of Ike. The sketches focus on his hair in its usually spikey state. Rare sketches of his under-clothing. They were probably designs for his everyday life that went unused from the early versions of the game. Detailed designs for the pattern on the bandana. A bust sketch of the gallant Ike, though still with a hint of inexperienced youth to him. Full body sketches of Ike after his class change. His ranger color scheme was completely changed in order to give off the impression of a calm general who can hold an army together. Details and sketches of Ike’s equipment. Things like his self-defense dagger that are never actually used in the story are shown too. A manga-esque proposition regarding Ike’s cape and its movements.
