FE PoR: Gareth Character Profile (P. 85) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).

This post is a character profile of Gareth(page 85). The notes were translated by AstroknighticalFeats (of serenesforest.net) and the profile data by me.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Please donate! It helps fund future projects!

(use the button on the top right of the page if the above link doesn’t work or if you lack a PayPal account!)

Enjoy!

A brave warrior of Goldoa. While Dheginsea is immensely powerful, Gareth has been said to impress even Dheginsea, barely beating the latter in raw strength. While that is a source of pride for him, he could not replace Dheginsea as he lacks other kingly qualities such as pragmatism and acumen*, something he strongly admires in his king; as such, he extends his unwavering loyalty to Prince Kurthnaga, Dheginsea’s son, who is under his care, Because of Dheginsea’s strong resentment towards the Beorc, those who violate Goldoa’s foreign policy are dealt with swiftly.

-(AstroknighticalFeats)

Notes:

  • Knowing how Wa (harmony) and pragmatism were highly valued by Japanese nobles and monarchs, I surmise these would be the quality he most likely lacks.-(AstroknighticalFeats)
