This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).
This post is a character profile of Muarim (page 95). The notes were partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats (of serenesforest.net) and the profile data by me. I made sure to edit and look over all translations.
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of free time, and I currently lack a source of income, so…

Hobby: Helping Tormod learn new things
Finds Important: The young master
Likes: Tea time
Dislikes: Begnion nobles
Apparent Age (Designed): 27
A laguz born and raised in Begnion. The second in command of the Laguz Emancipation Army (though considering it is just a two-man group with Tormod as Commander, it does not mean much). Tormod’s family was a noble house in Begnion that kept many slaves in days long past. The house eventually collapsed, and Tormod’s parents perished. Muarim has been with him ever since. Despite him no longer being a slave, he still embraces its way of thinking in serving his beloved “little one”, which gives him some purpose in his life. Later, when he joins the Crimean Liberation Army and interacts with the other laguz, he is troubled when it comes to the clash between laguz pride and ingrained servitude due to having been a slave. He and Tormod formed a mutual bond without prejudice in regards to history or appearance. As far as Muarim is concerned, this is his reality, and the only truth that really matters.
