FE PoR: Tauroneo Character Profile (P. 101) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).

This post is a character profile of Tauroneo (page 101). The notes were partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats (of serenesforest.net) and the profile data by me. I made sure to edit and look over all translations.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of free time, and I currently lack a source of income, so…

Please consider donating! It helps fund future projects!

A former member of Daein’s Four Riders who served King Ashnard’s predecessor. The legendary Four Riders comprised of Tauroneo, Gawain, Lanvega, and Bryce (who is the only one still a current member). He and his wife from Crimea had two sons together.
Along with the suspicious series of events surrounding Ashnard’s rise to power –such as the untimely death of the royal family and Gawain and Elena’s flight from Daein –Tauroneo was deemed unfit to serve by Ashnard demoted to a mere lower-ranking general.
He was tasked to defend the Daein capital of Nevassa (as a sacrificial pawn) and was ready to meet his end. But, he sensed Gawain’s legacy through Ike’s swordsmanship, and, despite being aware that he would likely live in disgrace, surrendered to the Crimean Liberation Army. (-partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats)
