FE PoR: Devdan Character Profile (P. 109) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).

This post is a character profile of Devdan (p. 109).

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of free time, and I currently lack a source of income, so…

Please consider donating! It helps fund future projects!

Enjoy!

A wandering halberdier who loves children and flowers. A man with a mysterious background. He speaks in a very peculiar way.
He was punished for trespassing into Duke Tanas’s villa to see his flower garden, and was forced into working under Oliver for a year without pay. It was then he encountered Tormod and other children fighting with Ike’s crew. He could not bring himself to raise his lance against children and cut ties with Oliver to join the mercenaries.
He does not hold loyalty to any particular person or country. Instead, he fights for the weak –in other words, he fights for the sake of children’s happiness.
Being a gentle man with a fair amount of life experience, Devdan served as a great adviser to young patriots of the Crimean Liberation Army.
