This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).
This post is a translation of character portraits (full bodies, the game cuts off sooner) as well as translations of the mini profiles beneath each picture. This is done by request!
There are several more pages that will be posted over the coming days.
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…
Please consider donating! It helps fund future projects!
Enjoy!
Character portraits as they appear in Path of Radiance (listed in Japanese syllable order). This serves as a convenient director and includes some enemy generals that were not seen on the previous character profile pages.
Ike
A member of the Greil Mercenaries based in Crimea. He succeeded his father after the latter’s death.
Ike (Tense)
He grips his sword’s hilt in his left hand. He keeps a sharp gaze on his enemy.
Ike (Angry)
Ike’s sense of justice allows him to overcome any sort of obstacle while having no sympathy for the wicked.
Ike (Lord)
Ike after he was promoted to General of the Crimean Liberation Army and entrusted with the holy sword Ragnell from Apostle Sanaki.
Ike (Lord/Tense)
He is prepared to face a huge challenge. All the rage he had been holding as the army’s general flowing out.
Ashnard
Daein’s feared “Mad King.” He rides the black dragon Rajaion and wields the dark weapon Gurgurant.
Ashnard (Smirk)
He is overflowing with confidence, fearing nothing –not even the gods. He is ready to drive away anyone who gets in his way.
Ashnard (Medallion)
Ashnard after having used the Medallion of Blue Flames. He offers his own well-being in exchange for the negative energy within.

Anna
The mysterious girl, as per Fire Emblem tradition. She is in charge of explaining the game through tutorials.
Ikanau
A bandit from Crimea. He captures Mist and Rolf in order to carry out revenge against Titania.
Izuka
A mad scientist employed by Ashnard. He disregards all morals when it comes to his research.
Ena
Nasir’s granddaughter of mixed red and white dragon blood. She serves Daein for her fiance Rajaion’s sake.
Ilyana
A quiet thunder mage who travels with the merchant convoy. Her appetite is greater than anyone can imagine despite her appearance.
Ulki
A close aide to Tibarn. His extremely tacit nature easily leads to misunderstandings. No sound escapes his ears.
Emil
A general of Daein who surrounded Ike’s group at the Crimea-Gallia border.
Elincia
Crimea’s true princess. Her existence was hidden from the public. She was rescued by Ike’s crew during Daein’s invasion.
Elincia (Happy)
Both hands rest in front of her chest. It is a pose often seen when she wants to express her heartfelt gratitude.

These are really interesting, thank you very much!
As for my thoughts on some of the more interesting info:
* I don’t remember Ike being that vengeful!
* Offers his own wellbeing, I’m slightly confused there/
* So Laguz Dragons can be mixed rather then “Either/or.”
* Ikaneau is Crimean as suspected.
* So thats Elincia’s “gratitude” pose.
-Yes, I wonder if he was meant to be such or is in Japanese?
-Hmm, it was a bit hard to translate the exact meaning, but basically the sense of “giving up their life for power now.” The power basically eats away, I guess!
* Having played the game recently, I do not remember that portrait of angry Ike used within the game.
* Ok gives his lifeforce to use the medallion, got it!
I was thinking FEplanet had a mini portraits of Assasssin/Thief type (presumably)Generic characters. Wonder if they’re in the book?
-I played it semi-recently and don’t actually remember it either.
As far as I saw the only Assassin/Thief types are in the concept art, but none in the portrait gallery…
I’m going to guess they would’ve been used by generic assassins?
Oh, yeah… I’ve never seen that, so it’s likely.
Play the chapter where you recruit Zihark and have Ike fight the Black Night. He will lose obviously but you will see agry Ike in the dialogue before the fight.
Ah, okay! (No wonder, I was making Ike avoid that area like the plague! xD)
Thanks for the heads up : )
THanks for the tip.
