This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 2).
This post features Edward’s character profile. He was the top most wanted by readers of this project, so here he is first. His concept art will hopefully be up soon.
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…
Please consider donating! It helps fund future projects!

A young swordsman who is part of a chivalrous band of thieves known as the Dawn Brigade. He was born in the back alleys of Daein, and grew up without even knowing his family. However, despite his abject upbringing, he gained a generally optimistic personality. He is the cheery and lovable member of the Dawn Brigade who serves as an inspiration to others.
Three years ago during the Mad King’s War, people were given ranks determined by skill alone –which meant that even people from the slums could rise up to become royal knights. This inspired Edward to polish his skill with the blade in hopes of achieving a respectable post. However, soon after, the capital fell and the war ended soon after, his dream now impossible. The occupying force from Begnion cracked down on all the remaining members of the Daein army, keeping Edward on the run. It was on one of these days in a back alley that he was helped by a young boy with a bow dressed much better than he was: Leonardo. Their friendship would grow to the point that they would be like brothers.
He has an extremely simple personality, such as believing in Micaiah’s oracles without question, not worrying about what others think, and acting without reading the situation (more like he is unable to). Though he is young and inexperienced with the blade, he steadily accumulates experience and grows throughout the Liberation of Daein and the Laguz-Begnion War.
