FE RD: Caineghis Character Profile (P. 99) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 2).

This post features Caineghis. The “notes” were partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats of serenesforest.net. I edited them and fixed any translation errors, as well as the profile information.

His Path of Radiance profile can be seen here.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Species: Laguz
Class: Lion King
Affinity: Earth
Origin: Gallia
Apparent Age: 45*

The king of Gallia and a Lion of unmatched fighting ability. Though he is famed for his impartiality, wisdom, and strength, it has been said that he was as boisterous and brash as Skrimir in his youth. He was good friends with Crimea’s former king Ramon (Elincia’s father) despite the tensions that exist between their races. He shared similar bonds with Ike’s father Greil as well as Titania (back when she was one of the Crimean Royal Knights).
When preparing for the showdown with Ashera, he and Giffca were guided by a voice in their dreams. They were to retrieve Greil’s memorial battle axe Urvan from his grave and entrust it to Ike. While not as likely to stand on the front lines as he did in his youth, his remarkable abilities befit his status as the Lion King and king of beasts among the laguz kings. He does not say it out loud, but he greatly looks forward to hearing of Skrimir’s deeds and accomplishments. (Partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats)
