FE RD: Giffca Character Profile (P. 101) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 2).

This post features Giffca. The “notes” were partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats of serenesforest.net. I edited them and fixed any translation errors, as well as the profile information.

His Path of Radiance profile can be seen here.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Species: Laguz
Class: Lion
Affinity: Dark
Origin: Gallia
Apparent Age: 46*

A beast laguz from the lion tribe and the trusted confidant of Gallia’s King Caineghis. He is also known as the “King’s Shadow” due to his beast form being a massive lion with jet-black fur. He often stands-in for the king and relays his intentions as internal affairs hold Caineghis back from being able to leave Gallia. One particular scene of note was when Giffca gave Skrimir a Satori Sign (a precious treasure among the laguz) on behalf of Caineghis. He’s a man of few words and not much for conversation, but his sharing of joys and sorrows with King Caineghis as his right hand man since childhood have forged them a bond thicker than blood.  (Partially translated by AstroknighticalFeats)
