FE RD: Tauroneo Character Profile (P. 49) Translation

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 2).

This post features the returning character Tauroneo, who has a greater role in this game than its prequel.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Enjoy!

Species:     Beorc
Class:       Lance General
> Marshall
Affinity:    Thunder
Origin:      Daein
Approx. Age: 54

A Lance General and one of the legendary “Four Riders” of Daein from long ago who was popular among the people. He had two sons with a wife from Crimea.
He met his old friend Gawain (Greil)’s son Ike during the Mad King’s War and helped the Crimean Liberation Army in the fight against Ashnard. Three years later, he swore allegiance to Ashnard’s orphan Prince Pelleas and fought to restore Daein.
He shows deep admiration for Micaiah and her group after seeing them act to save prisoners of war when he could not due to his position –a rare show of the warmer side of his personality. He is often stuck between a rock and hard place when it comes to loyalty to the country or the individual. He is cautious and shows concern for Sothe and Micaiah like a parent would. His true feelings are often complicated due to having so many different obligations while being caught between the complexities of politics.
Back when he was assisting the Greil Mercenaries, he longed to see his family again after meeting Rolf. It is unknown whether he followed through on these wishes or not, however.
