This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 2).

This post features Bastian, a returning character from Path of Radiance. His profile from FE9 can be seen here.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Species: Beorc
Class: Archsage
Affinity: Wind
Origin: Crimea
Approx. Age: 27

An Archsage known as Count Fayre and an influential noble in Crimea. He is a trusted confidant for Renning, the former king’s younger brother.
Though pure and noble, Elincia is still young and inexperienced as a ruler. As such, Bastian exhibits his experience and cunning when it comes to political and financial affairs, making him the most important figure in the Crimea after Queen Elincia herself. Ever since the end of the Mad King’s War, Bastian has led a busy life as he worked to quell domestic unrest while at the same time traveling between the various countries as a diplomat.
While loyal to both Elincia and Renning, he is deeply devoted to the country of Crimea first and foremost. Thus, he can also truly be considered “Crimea’s Retainer.”
