  1. Karel finally makes an appearance in the Fire Emblem Heroes manga. (Yes!)

I know it’s just a silent cameo, but why is Karel grouped with Arvis? At least he’s next to Merric instead, so I do not have to worry about Karel joining the villains’ side. (I apologize for writing this comment in the first place, but I was worried because Karel’s not a villain nor antagonist like Arvis is, and it bugs me when some uneducated people see Karel as a villain or antagonist when the fact is that he had no such role in any of the games. Karel was simply an anti-hero when he was the Sword Demon and a wise mentor as the Sword Saint. I still wish that they would do their research and realize who Karel really is.)

That said, I personally thought that this chapter is interesting. “Orbeos” sounds like a clever pun for some reason. Is it a word that you made yourself when you made this translation or was it actually called “Orbeos” in the Japanese original? As someone whose native language is English, I still am a rookie when it comes to understanding Japanese words with the possible exception of an online translator, so this was why I’m asking.

    • Don’t worry, I think Karel and Arvis are there not because of any villain association, but just because they are skillfull in their crafts : ) Since the joke was about Kiran being pretty lame compared to a legendary mage and swordsman xD

Originally, it was Orb Manju. Manju is a type of confectionery sweet, and, I’m sure many of the readers would know what manju is, but I try to translate these in a way where nobody has to really look too much up. I did Orbeos as a play on Oreos (though it came out more like a cereal huh? xD) Since they are sugary sweets with a creamy inside and surrounded by something else.

      • I see. Thank you for telling me the truth.

I never tried manju before, but I do like Oreos once in a while. They’re quite tasty.
