Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Famitsu Review Translated

I translated the entire Famitsu review for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valenta (Echoes: Another Hero King in Japan). It received an overall 37/40 rating from four reviewers. The break down was 9/9/10/9. I post a translated image, but the transcript can be found after for reference. It is from the April 13 2017 issue of Famitsu.

A big thank you to VincentASM of serenesforest for providing the review scan! Look forward to serenesforest’s own view on the review and other info gained before the game releases next week.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Mifa & Riibar Mini-Profile Translations [02/01/17]

I translated mini profiles two characters in Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the latest (02/01/17) Famitsu. I put them on the pages too for your convenience. Thanks JapaneseNintendo for the scans!

See notes for additional comments.

Notes:

  • Names. If you study or speak Japanese, you will know that they can go many ways. Mifa and Riibar (as well as Darkher) are just placeholders I put as I do not know what their official romanizations are, if any (a byproduct of avoiding most info for this game). Please know I do not consider these official in any capacity. ミファー, リーバル , and ダルケル (Lit: Mifaa, Riibaru, Darukeru). I just wrote Mifa, Riibar, and Darkher, though only have confidence in the first. Riibar could also be Rivaar, River, etc just as Darkher can be another in the “Daru” series of Gorons, etc. Again, these are just quick names for ease and convenience.
  • Ironic as it is, I am actually avoiding most info on this game to keep the surprise. These two characters I had a vague interest in but do not wish to discuss beyond what their profiles say here! Thanks for understanding!

Fire Emblem: Famitsu FE Series Reader Poll Translated (June 2015)

fire-emblem-lords

Last year (2015), Famitsu conducted a poll from June 11th through the 15th. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary for Fire Emblem, they polled readers on various questions about the series as a whole.

I translated the first two pages earlier on this post here. They are specifically about characters. These last two pages deal with favorite game, class, weapon, etc. A lot of fun insight from fans back in June 2015.

The raw scans are available upon request. I hope to apply these translations onto the page eventually (which is when I will provide them too)!

Note that this was conducted before Famitsu’s Fire Emblem Fates poll, which can be viewed here.

I purchased the Famitsu volume that included this poll with money received from your kind donations. : ) This is all done on my free time, and takes awhile. It can be a lot of work, but I do hope you enjoy! I am unemployed… so please consider donating by clicking on the “donate” button found on the right side of the page!

Fire Emblem: Famitsu Overall Favorite Character Poll Translated (June 2015)

fire-emblem-lords

Last year (2015), Famitsu conducted a poll from June 11th through the 15th. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary for Fire Emblem, they polled readers on various questions about the series as a whole.

UPDATE: Part 2 (page 3 and 4) are up! They deal with fans’ favorite games, class, etc. See it here!

There are four pages of results, two of which I translate today. The other two will be up later! Note for these translations I only translated the results and player opinions, as the rest was general information about the characters/games which fans would already know. All raw pages will be put up after I finish the last two pages! But some lower res scans of the first two pages can be found here and here.

This was conducted before their Fire Emblem Fates poll, which can be viewed here. I do not think Fates characters were included in this poll, as the game was near release.

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash Famitsu Interview Translations (Summary) 1/27

At the request of LiteAgent (of Perfectly Nintendo), I translated an interview for Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (for Wii U). It released in Japan a few days ago, and released in the west back in November.

Due to time constraints, I did not apply them to the original scans, but I still provide the scans themselves below!

All of this is done on my free time and is rather time consuming. It is certainly a lot of work… so please consider donating if you like the work I do. Any amount (no matter how small) is much appreciated and helps me keep going on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy the end results of my work!

Valkyria: Azure Revolution Famitsu Info Translations 11/18 (1)

I decided to translate information from Famitsu’s feature on the newly announced Valkyria: Azure Revolution. The game is the latest in the Valkyria series of games. There is information about a PS4 remaster of the first game (originally on PS3), as well as an interview that I hope to translate and cover later.

Due to time constraints, I did not apply them to the original scans, but I still provide the scans themselves below!

Latest Valkyria game announced! “Valkyria: Azure Revolution”

This is just a preview scan from Famitsu. Actual high res scans will be up tomorrow!

Famitsu has revealed the latest game in the Senjou no Valkyria (Valkyria Chronicles in the west), 蒼き革命のヴァルキュリア (Aoki Kakumei no Valkyria lit: “Valkyria of the Blue Revolution”).

Famitsu will release in about twelve hours for now digitally, where I hope to translate the latest information on the game here!

Along with that, Gematsu already has tidbits translated (from other Japanese sites such as Hachima) for those who are interested. A Valkyria Chronicles remaster (originally a PS3 game) will be coming to PS4 as well on February 10th in Japan, though no information in the west.

Splatoon Artbook Comic / 4Koma Translations (1)

Near the end of the Splatoon artbook, there are several pages of 4-koma (4 panel comics) that I decided to translate. There are more pages, though I am not sure when I will get to them as I’m still translating the Fire Emblem Fates Character Book as well.

I hope you enjoy these silly comics though! The artist of these pages in particular can be found on twitter here.
