Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade Staff Interview [Highlights] (Nintendo Dream May 2003)

Today I translated a summary (or highlights) of a developer interview on Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade from Nintendo Dream’s May 2003 volume. I could not find this magazine despite my searches for the full interview, so settled on translating a Japanese user’s summary of highlights instead.

If anyone has this issue, I’d love to take a look at the interview in full, as highlights may miss some of the fun tidbits!

Enjoy!

Much like Volume 1, the final two pages of the book feature developer commentary from various staff. I put the commentary on the page, but also in text format below for easier reading and sharing.

There is some fun trivia to learn through it! So please give it a read.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

See image below (right click and view image), but head past the break for the easier to read and cite text.

FE Heroes: Developer Interview (Nintendo Dream Vol. 276) Translated

feheroesinterviewcover

Today I translated an interview with Shinko Matsushita and Kouhei Maeda. They are the two directors behind Fire Emblem Heroes for mobile, and share some insight on the game’s background, characters, setting, the “Choose Your Legends” poll results, and where they intend to go from here.

For reference, this interview is from Nintendo Dream, Volume 276, April 2017, on pages 46 and 47. The scans were provided to me by PushDustIn of SourceGaming. Thanks for your support as always!

Please link back to this page in some fashion if you quote parts of the interview. : )

I do not provide the original transcript or the scan in higher resolution than shown, though it is available by request.

Fire Emblem Fates: Developer Interview (2/16) via USGamer

Since I have a lot of Fire Emblem followers, I thought to make today’s post about an interesting interview done by USGamer on some of the staff (including writer Shin Kibayashi and director Kouhei Maeda).

A brief synopsis from the website itself gives an idea of what its about:

Fire Emblem’s developers speak on the process of developing two different games at once, the characters they had their protagonist marry, and what the series needs to continue its recent success.

You can read the interview in full here.

Some fun small things in there! The game releases tomorrow, and many fans (including myself) already have access to the text found within the game to begin compiling support conversations and making Japanese/English comparisons. : )

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash Famitsu Interview Translations (Summary) 1/27

At the request of LiteAgent (of Perfectly Nintendo), I translated an interview for Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (for Wii U). It released in Japan a few days ago, and released in the west back in November.

Due to time constraints, I did not apply them to the original scans, but I still provide the scans themselves below!

All of this is done on my free time and is rather time consuming. It is certainly a lot of work… so please consider donating if you like the work I do. Any amount (no matter how small) is much appreciated and helps me keep going on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy the end results of my work!
