Today is just a brief post that isn’t really a translation/comparison/trivia post, so please feel free to ignore it. It’s a rare actual-blog/picture sharing post.
It’s a special friend’s birthday today! She reminds me of the Mia sort and often associates with her. At the same time, to celebrate my most recent Radiant Dawn clearing (and Mia being in first place as a result), today is a random post about Mia.
Today is a quick post about the new (as of this writing, Nov 15th) hero banner in Fire Emblem Heroes.
When I saw the title and characters involved, I wondered why the translators may have chosen “Farfetched” as their word of choice for the title. I’ve always liked the English word farfetched (thanks to a particular Pokemon), so it made me wonder what the Japanese was.
So I took a quick look:
Farfetched Heroes 大いなる英雄再び Great Heroes Once More
Well, from the above you can see the Japanese seems to be stating the banner for what it is, and the translation seemingly went for a more colorful approach.
Today I translated a very brief (3 page) fan comic featuring Mia and Rhys from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
This comic was originally drawn by artist @sa_ayahara who draws quite a lot of fan art involving the two.
So please keep in mind I did not draw these. I simply translated them. I asked for her direct permission to translate them, and she granted (and in fact encouraged) me to do so. She asks that her works not be reproduced elsewhere without her permission.
See her wonderful pixiv profile here. She does a lot of Tellius (FE9/10) art beyond just Mia and Rhys, too!
