The latest of my daily scan/clean/translation of Fire Emblem if (Fates): 4Koma Kings (ファイアーエムブレムif 4コマKINGS).

Notes:

In Japanese, the right panel is named ホラー (horaa) which can be read as horror. However, Yukimura also says “hora!” in the last panel (which roughly means “look!”) before showing off his (creepy) dolls. It’s possible the author was going for a soft pun, but I did not implement an English equivalent as it felt unnecessary.
For those unaware or who have not played Fire Emblem: Awakening (or specifically, the “Invisible History DLC” for this game), the left comic is making references to how they came from Ylisse but that it’s a secret nobody is supposed to know about.

Fire Emblem Fates – Why is Selena the only one of the three who can actually die?

Today’s post is not exactly a localization comparison. Rather, it’s just a brief curiosity post in regards to something that remains in both versions of the game. Namely, why is Selena the only one of the three “expies” (from Awakening) who can actually die? [In Classic Mode].

There may be some minor spoilers to some DLC that is still unreleased in North America (as of this writing). There are also very minor spoilers for Conquest and Revelation.

Fire Emblem Fates: 4Koma & Character Book Character Artworks [ALL]

I decided to make a compilation post for the (untranslated) character pages from Fire Emblem Fates: 4Koma & Character Book (ファイアーエムブレムif 4コマ・キャラクターガイドブック) for people who just wanted the art regardless of the translation.

I am steadily working on translating the entire book however, which can be found here. I cover a new profile and following comic (comics not posted here) each day.

Please support the authors by buying a physical copy yourself! It makes for a fine addition to any Fire Emblem or manga collection, and does not cost much either!

All scanning, editing, uploading was done on my free time and was rather time consuming. It is certainly a lot of work, and I am unemployed… so please consider donating if you like it! Any amount (no matter how small) is much appreciated and helps me keep going on a daily basis.

This is a story summary of both parts of the Invisible History DLC that was released August 20th (Japan). I originally uploaded them as two separate posts, so please consider this a convenience post where they are all in one place.

Note: In English/NoA, it is called Hidden Truths, and released on March 24th 2016. The localization is very true to the original.
