FE Awakening: The Most Unforgettable Birthday Translation [25th Anniversary Comiket Staff Book]

Today’s translation comes from the Fire Emblem 25th Anniversary Comiket Staff Book. It was a small book that featured notes and artworks from the game developers. I do not own this book, so all credit for the raw scans goes to an imgur gallery kindly uploaded by kingddd.

I am not translating these in any order, and simply by interest/request. I may get through the whole book eventually, but we will see! I’ve made a few other posts on it already (just search “comiket” in the top right search bar).

Nearly a year ago, a reader left a request to do pages 14 and 15 of the book, which feature a conversation from the Awakening cast (specifically, Severa, Lucina, Nah, and Kjelle). I thought it may be translated already, but upon searching I didn’t come across anyone who did…

It took awhile to translate since it’s essentially a bonus conversation as if it was in the game or the drama CD. I don’t think it’s been translated yet, so here it is. Sorry it took so long!

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Famitsu Review Translated

I translated the entire Famitsu review for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valenta (Echoes: Another Hero King in Japan). It received an overall 37/40 rating from four reviewers. The break down was 9/9/10/9. I post a translated image, but the transcript can be found after for reference. It is from the April 13 2017 issue of Famitsu.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Mifa & Riibar Mini-Profile Translations [02/01/17]

I translated mini profiles two characters in Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the latest (02/01/17) Famitsu. I put them on the pages too for your convenience. Thanks JapaneseNintendo for the scans!

Notes:

• Names. If you study or speak Japanese, you will know that they can go many ways. Mifa and Riibar (as well as Darkher) are just placeholders I put as I do not know what their official romanizations are, if any (a byproduct of avoiding most info for this game). Please know I do not consider these official in any capacity. ミファー, リーバル , and ダルケル (Lit: Mifaa, Riibaru, Darukeru). I just wrote Mifa, Riibar, and Darkher, though only have confidence in the first. Riibar could also be Rivaar, River, etc just as Darkher can be another in the “Daru” series of Gorons, etc. Again, these are just quick names for ease and convenience.
• Ironic as it is, I am actually avoiding most info on this game to keep the surprise. These two characters I had a vague interest in but do not wish to discuss beyond what their profiles say here! Thanks for understanding!

• I do not recall seeing these two portraits used anywhere in the game or in the cut content. Apologies if they were already known.
• The “112” simply refers to the page Ashera’s profile is found on. Elena lacks a number as she lacks a profile in this book.
• They are actually from pg 40-41, made an error on the image above! They were found on the character relationship chart within the book, on page 41 and 42.
• They lack full body portraits, and are not featured in the full portrait gallery within the book.
• The above has been magnified 200% from the original scan for better visibility, but may be a slight loss in quality. Anyone interested in touching it up from the original can ask for them in the comments or email!
• Ever since the update we got a high quality image above!
