Japanese “Squid” vs “Octopus” Sushi Splatfest Dialogue Translation

Someone emailed me the following:

If you don’t mind, can you translate this? I want to know exactly what they’re saying, seeing how it’s Kura Sushi and all, and they don’t seem to have any issues with eating squid and octopus.

They attached a series of shots that had the dialogue in question, so I took a look and added a translation below! Raw text can be found after the image itself. Thanks for providing the dialogue, and wow I guess they really don’t have any issue with eating their own kind. xD

All these requested translations are done on my free time and can be time consuming. It is certainly a lot of work, and I am unemployed… so please consider donating if you like the work I do. Any amount (no matter how small) is much appreciated and helps me keep going on a daily basis.

Note: Japanese food names have been translated as best as I could for one who may not be familiar with them (such as Takoyaki or Tako-oden becoming Fried Octopus and Octo Mixed Dish)

Zelda: Windwaker – Comparing Ganon’s “Wind” Speech [JPN/ENG]

In the Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, Ganon makes a rather somber speech at the start of the final confrontation. I remembered it from years ago, but came across a lovely fan comic that illustrated the speech itself on tumblr It made me curious as to whether what he said in Japanese was as poetic or in-depth.

I’ve been hooked on making Mario Maker levels recently! I noticed in the booklet that came with it, there were some small (and hard to read) bits of Japanese writing here and there. I don’t think many really care, but for those out there who may randomly be curious, here’s some bits of it. I’ll have more tomorrow, when not making levels…

SMT x FE: Director’s Commentary Translation [6/9]

A new post was made on the FE x SMT blog, with the director’s commentary. I translated it below! There is another page that features the other director, but it has already been translated (along with this one) over on Siliconera. (a much more superior translation)
