This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).
This post is a character profile of Rolf (page 53).
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Apparent Age (Designed): 12
A boy who is tasked with doing various chores for the Greil Mercenaries. The youngest of the “three brothers” after Oscar and Boyd. His birth mother left him when he was a little boy. His mental level is like that of an adult, which betrays his otherwise childish appearance.
Though he traveled with the mercenaries, his tasks were mostly chores such as helping Mist with cooking and cleaning. Because of this, he had no combat experience prior to when Greil died. As the youngest member of the group, he respectfully calls Ike and the others “-san” and only attaches “-chan” to Mist.*
Rolf seems to be one of the few people that the foul-mouthed Shinon actually trusts. After Mist and Rolf become apprentice group members, the budding Rolf blooms to become a skillful archer. This was all thanks to Rolf training with Shinon at every opportunity he could get.
*Japanese version only. No equivalent was presented in the English one as this trait is rather Japanese-language-specific. Basically it shows he has a respect for his elders but refers to Mist as an equal/with terms of endearment/familiarity.
