This post features the returning character Sothe, who has a greater role in this game than its prequel.

A Rogue who works with a chivalrous band of thieves known as the “Dawn Brigade.” He shows little interest in interacting with others and can be quite blunt with them. However, he is very overprotective when it comes to his “older sister” Micaiah, to the point he can get quite emotional.
Ever since Micaiah saved Sothe from the back alleys of Nevassa over ten years ago, the two have been inseparable, and traveled together as siblings. However, three years ago, they were separated during the Mad King’s War. He stowed away on Nasir’s ship bound for Begnion in search of Micaiah. While onboard he met Ike and the Greil Mercenaries and ended up traveling with them. Though he still had trouble trusting people due to his upbringing, he greatly admired Ike as a “Commander” due to his honest, frank personality. After the end of the Mad King’s War, he reunited with Micaiah. Afterward, he would constantly recall fond memories about his “Commander” with Micaiah –leading her to have conflicted feelings on the matter.
He actively gathers intelligences and performs rescue operations all while supporting and reassuring Micaiah who constantly worries about people finding out the truth of her heritage.
Even when Pelleas was forced to fight an immoral war due to a “blood contract” made with the Begnion senate, Sothe showed his dedication to Micaiah and stayed by her side –respecting her wishes to the end.
After the battle with the goddess Ashera, he returned to Daein and continued to support the new queen Micaiah the rest of his days.

I guess his perspective changed as he grew older… xD His epilogue here goes with the non-pairing ending, but I suppose the type of love is malleable!
I do think it’s possible though that they got married just for the morale or because expected/wanted them to. Like what’s better than a coronation? A coronation AND a wedding!
This is possible too. xD
