Species:      Laguz
Class:        Wolf
Affinity:     Earth
Origin:       Hatari
Apparent Age: 21*

A beast tribe wolf laguz who serves Queen Nailah of Hatari – an elusive kingdom which lays within the desert.
He met Micaiah in the Desert of Death, located in the far eastern side of Daein, while he was accompanying Queen Nailah and her husband Rafiel. After their encounter, his queen ordered him to travel with the Dawn Brigade, where he remained in a half shifted form.
He is a man of very few words, and rarely speaks to anyone outside of his own tribe. Though he is quiet by nature, he does not speak the Tellius language all that well either. As such, he has difficulty trying to communicate with others. However, for someone like Micaiah who can read someone’s heart, she can understand him even if he speaks very little.
During a conversation between Ike and Nailah regarding the Old Tongue and Tellius language, Volug begins to have a change of heart and shows interest in learning the modern speech in order to better improve his communication capabilities with other races.
