This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).
This post is a character profile of Boyd (page 49).
You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!
Original scans/Japanese are not posted, but are available by request.
As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

A warrior who works for the Greil Mercenaries. He is a half-brother (through a different mother) to Oscar and Rolf. He is different than his calm brothers, being the boisterous middle child that stands out. His upfront personality and rough nature makes him quite the animated character. He has known Greil, Ike, and Mist ever since they arrived from Gallia, and treats Ike like a brother.
Since he was granted official mercenary status before Ike, he feels the need to act as Ike’s senior all the time. This shows in the mutually casual banter between the two. He often quarrels with Mist in the same way, though the circumstances and reasoning for this is slightly different.
After Greil’s death, despite the fact Boyd calmly accepted that Ike was unfit for serving in place of his father’s greatness, he was still the first to approve of the new group’s formation.
- Oddly, it is worded like all three brothers have the same father but three different mothers. It was thought that perhaps Oscar was the only half brother, but I suppose this may say otherwise.
