Fire Emblem PoR: All Unused Portraits and Translations

This post is part of my ongoing translations of the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book: Tellius Recollection (Vol 1).

This post is a translation of three unused character portraits in Path of Radiance. These refer to the character images used during dialogue scenes for Titania and Kieran. I did Soren, Zihark, Marcia and Ike before, but had missed these two back then. I have since added them into the same picture together, so you may see some repeat.

The book provides pictures that are larger than those used in game, as you are able to see below where the text-box would normally be.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

Every other portrait (including these unused ones) can be viewed on their own post here, too.

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

  1. Thank you very much for starting this.

A Helmeted Kieran portrait is used within the game, its used before his recruitment. I’ll have to check though, the one in the book might be very slightly different.

For example, take a look at these two portraits, you wouldn’t guess they were different at first glance, with the first one being unused.

    • You’re welcome! You’ll see the translations for the others over the next few days. : )

Yes, at a glance, it would be hard to tell, only side by side makes it easier…

I assume there is some small difference, as the book says “Unused graphic” (of course they have made some other mistakes so it’s possible they simply messed up xD)
